The Life of JESUS Mirrors the Lives of Israel   JESUS Is a True Israelite.  Egypt | Gen 46:1-7, Mt 2:14-15  Hebrews find refuge here by escaping the famine, and Joseph takes his family here for refuge.  Baby Boys Murdered | Ex 1:15-22, Mt 2:16-18  Pharaoh  Herod  River & Sea | Ex 14:15-31, Mt 3:13-17  Hebrews crossed on dry land through the Red Sea and were saved.  JESUS, for repentance's sake, was baptized in the Jordan River. HE did/does not need to repent, but we do. Wilderness | Nu 14:15-31, Mt 4:1-11  Israelites spent 40 years in -  JESUS spent 40 days in -  These events are to show GOD working to save all people.
