LOVE

A few years ago Tina Turner recorded a song titled “What’s Love Gotta Do With It?” I never much liked that song because I knew that Love has everything to do with it. I have to admit; it was a catchy tune. Now according to her she did not want to record that song because she did not believe in the title or lyrics. However, it became a hit on the music charts because so many people were able to relate to what she was saying. Also because of her book and movie that song was an anthem to those who suffer from the abuse brought on by their spouse or romantic friend.

It’s funny how books, gossip, music, news and maybe more influence our thoughts. However, what is strangest is that we would rather believe all that non-sense instead of what is true and has stood the test of the times. You know when I read the Bible; I read it as it was intended; I make sure that I place my name in all the appropriate places. I do this because I know that The Word of GOD is directed just for me. I also acknowledge that LOVE is GOD and GOD is LOVE. So if The Word of GOD is read for instance “LOVE so Loved the world that LOVE gave HIS only Begotten SON”. Does that have impact or what? As humans we honestly don’t understand the true nature of love. Love is not a word that is to be said over and over as if we are proclaiming what is to be true. Love is a verb which means that when a verb appears that action is to take place. Do you remember that from your early years of schooling? Love is to be shown; not sometimes but all the time. We are to show love in how we speak with each other; we are to show love in how we interact with each other; in how we listen to each other; in how we relate with each other. I am always having those who know that CHRISTians are to show love to each other running scams. I know how to look for fruit and not nuts.  So I often don’t respond to their request. You see when you walk in love; you know how to spot true love from fake love. You learn to watch and listen. Now listening is not the same as hearing. Anyone; who has one or two working ears can hear. We need to learn from the One who is LOVE how to truly love. From that we must love ourselves then we can love others as we should and as they deserve according to The Word of GOD. I know that we all question ourselves whether anyone could ever really love us. The answer is yes. I will be glad and rejoice in YOUR unfailing love for LOVE have seen my troubles and LOVE care about the anguish of my soul. Psalm 31:7

Once we understand and acknowledge the Love that GOD has for each and every one of us. We will be able to express our devotion to GOD. Those who accept MY commandments and obey them are the ones who love ME. Because they love ME, MY FATHER will love them. I will Love them and reveal MYSELF to each of them. John 14:21

Experience GOD’s unfailing Love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below; nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of GOD that is revealed in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.

Romans 8:39

This is real Love-not that we loved GOD, but that HE Loved us and sent HIS SON as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

1 John 4:10

Believe you me; I know that people make it difficult to love them. However, GOD did not tell us to love each other only when we feel like it or only when people pleases us. LOVE said to Love.

I AM giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have Loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. John 13:34-35

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate the wrongs not the person who is doing the wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other. We love each other because LOVE, LOVED us first. 1 John 4:19
