This is a word that has become very important to anyone who has been arrested and charged with a crime. They go before a Judge or Judge and jury; after it’s all been said the person charged with an offense is waiting to hear two simple words. Not Guilty which means acquitted. The happiness and feeling that comes from the prosecuted is one of relief; be they guilty or not. Some promise never to do anything so stupid again and some just think that they got away with a crime because of their being so smart. Those that have learned their lessons are the ones who came to realize that they escaped a judgment that would destroy their lives and family for life. They came too close to possibilities of fighting for their lives; to live another day in a violent penal institution. To escape being raped and the many other torturous activities that goes on in prison.

There are many in this world that do not understand or do not know that JESUS took on the crimes of this entire world. HE took on the guilt of every person born before HIMSELF, during HIS life as a human and for those of us who would be born after HIS death. I’m awestruck when I think about that very first baby that was birthed just seconds after JESUS died on the cross and he/she if taught about what JESUS had done for him/her and he/she accepted that belief that he/she would be acquitted. I look forward to meeting the very first baby born after JESUS death who accepted JESUS as his/her SAVIOR. I also look forward to meeting the very last male/female that accepted the verdict of acquitted before JESUS returns and takes HIS bride from this earth as we know it.

However, it pains my heart to know that people choose to discount what JESUS did for this world. The sins of this world have people going to hell on a rollercoaster without breaks and the rails are greased with thick heavy oil.

Let me explain what it was like for JESUS when HE was arrested. If it helps; close your eyes and think.

JESUS a man who spoke only love; who fed the hungry; who healed the sick; who delivered men/women from demonic influence (possession); who provided or restored sight to the blind; who created appendages or limbs to those who had none; who brought the dead back to life. Why on earth would you want to see HIM dead?

JESUS was arrested and led to the courts during the night. This was unjust because this was during hours when court was not in session during normal business hours. HE had no attorney. The courts paid people to lie on HIM and the people could not even do that well. They transported HIM to another court to be tried (extradited) and that too failed. So they sent HIM back to the first court to be judged. The Judge refused to say that HE was guilty of any crime and that he wanted nothing to do with HIS being sentenced for a crime. The onlookers wanted the very worse criminal who was serving time to be released and for JESUS to accept the sentence that was placed on the other prisoner as well as be charged with HIS own crimes. The prisoner was released and JESUS was sentenced to death. Now just like today we have the death penalty as well; we use a lethal injection or gas to kill a prisoner. Then, they used stoning or crucifixion to kill their guilty of the most heinous of crimes. They beat HIM until HIS flesh was hanging from HIS bones. They stuck a crown of thorns around HIS entire head; the blood pouring down into HIS face blinding HIS sight just as we are when things get into our eyes. They removed all of HIS clothing; pulled his beard from HIS face with their hands and spit on HIM. They slapped HIM and continued to hit HIM in HIS open bleeding wounds. HE was without sleep or rest or food and drink. People made fun of HIM calling HIM all sort of names and accusing HIM to be something HE was not. HE was insulted and a royal robe the finest of the finest was placed on HIS body. This was to contradict HIS position as King. HE was paraded through the streets to have more accusations hurled at HIM. From HIS exhausted body after HE collapsed while carrying HIS own cross to the death sight. A man was chosen to take the cross for HIM. The robe was then removed; HE was completely naked; no loin cloth was on HIS body. These pictures we see of JESUS hanging on the cross are not accurate; they don’t depict the horror for which HE was succumbed to. People continued to insult HIM while HE was hanging on the cross; HE said that HE was thirsty and a soldier tried to give HIM urine to drink. One of the inmates who were being crucified with HIM sneered at HIM while the other asked for forgiveness. During all this torture JESUS kept the people who believed in HIM before HE came to earth as a human on HIS mind; HE kept those who believed in HIM during that time on HIS mind and HE kept people who were not yet born on HIS mind. Praying for us all. Now I believe that it was not the torture or HIS weaken body that caused HIM to die; I believe that it was HIS loneliness of being without HIS FATHER for the very first time ever. GOD had to finally turn away from HIS SON because HE saw the filth of sin all over HIS being and GOD cannot look on sin. This is why JESUS cried out asking why HIS FATHER; HIS GOD why did HE leave HIM. JESUS asked GOD to forgive because we don’t know what it is we are thinking; saying; believing; doing then HE stopped breathing and was pronounced dead.

JESUS the better Perry Mason or Matlock got us acquitted of all charges. But if we don’t accept being acquitted then we will suffer the punishment. But here is the beauty; though some of us will be found guilty of our crimes in the natural and are sent to prison. Freedom can be found their; you maybe behind cinderblocks, bricks and cold steel. Trying to keep from being raped witnessing the animalistic violence and the homosexual activities that is a part of the everyday life of prison. But if you allow JESUS into your heart; confess HIM; pray and saturate yourself in HIS Word; you will find that you will be untouched by the surroundings of prison. There is a difference between the jailhouse Jesus and the real JESUS. The jailhouse Jesus is discovered in prison and left there when you are released. The real JESUS discovers you and releases you in prison; you maybe locked up but you are free.

However, wouldn’t it be so much better to have JESUS to discover you now? You are an inmate and don’t know it. You are imprisoned by sin and have been found guilty. You are on death row.

Come to JESUS; let HIM speak to the JUDGE on your behalf. HE will win the case, HE has not lost one; HE is an undefeated attorney yet HE still can accept more clients; HE can make every meeting and accepts every call. HIS phone number is John 3:16 and HIS office is your heart.

Habakkuk 1:13

We all want to be accepted by our family; peers; co-workers and the list goes on. However you can do everything correct and not be accepted as you want to be. You can also do everything wrong and still left out in the cold. Acceptance is an outward showing of approval; favorable reception and we all long for this. Sometimes we find ourselves doing or saying things that normally we would not just to fit in and be accepted.

Well I’ve got some great news GOD accepted you long before HE spoke “Let there be light” and light is.
Unfortunately we live in a time when children are giving birth to children and they have no clue at all how to be a parent. There are also those whose parents were of mature age but for whatever reason they too abandoned you.

We are All accepted by GOD.
Psalm 27:10 Even if my mother and father abandon me, The LORD will hold me close.

Romans 5:1-2 We have been made right in GOD’s sight by faith in HIS SON, JESUS. We have peace with GOD because of what JESUS CHRIST our LORD has done for us. Because of our faith, JESUS has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing GOD’s glory.

Romans 8:39 There is NOTHING in all creation that will ever be able to separate me; you or us from the love of GOD that is revealed in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.

Abuse is Torture

A few years ago when I was employed; I was speaking with a young woman who was newly married. I’ve known her for a good while. She’s gorgeous outwardly and inwardly her character reflects her outward beauty. I began to notice that every now and then she would show up with injuries. One day I saw her moving in a manner that looked serious; I asked her what was wrong. She informed me that she had cracked ribs and that it was due to her opening up a roll of those frozen dough pastries that you bake in the oven. You know the kind that you smack against something so that the tube pops open. Instantly I knew that the story was goofy but I focused more on her being at work injured than I did with that crazy story she handed me. Later that day the Holy Spirit had informed me that she is the victim of spousal abuse. I began to realize that all types of women are victims of abuse. Strong minded/willed; weak minded/willed; mature or immature; educated or illiterate; young; middle age or seasoned. She like me is intelligent and strong minded yet she became the victim of abuse. It’s an embarrassment to the victim. The victim is abused by another and then abuses themselves by lying about the abuse. It’s an ongoing evil process that seems to never end. Throughout the Bible you will find abuse from Genesis to Revelation. It’s nothing new and because we are victims of this offense we must come to a place of realization that we are not alone. Others have gone through this torture as well. Do you realize that there is one in every home that is the victim of abuse? You yourself know at least one person who is either abused or is an abuser; yet you are unaware. If we really look with our eyes and listen we will recognize the abuser and the victim.

The word abuse is found in the Bible under such related words as forgiveness; drugs; struggles; family; hope and suffering.

Because I’m an abuse survivor and former abuser; I know that abuse comes from a very dark place and is a curse that is passed on from generation to generation. As well as a characteristic that is transferred to another whom has been the victim of abuse.

So how do we rid ourselves of abuse? Well it’s not easy and it requires faith on our part. It’s often times a characteristic that can be overcome by sheer will power; we must surrender ourselves over to GOD and allow HIM to deliver us from this torture that holds us prisoner to ourselves and others.

1.  We must ask GOD to forgive us then forgive ourselves.

2. We must repent from actively practicing abuse to ourselves and others. Abuse begins in our thoughts then our hearts then in action. Speak from your mouth to GOD what abusive thoughts you are having. Tell someone that you sincerely trust that you are having these thoughts that you know will not judge you.

3. Turn to the Word of GOD and speak from your mouth what GOD’s Word is saying. This will cause the enemy to flee from you when you bring his motives into the light. You can’t win this battle with just thoughts.

4. Ask your victims to forgive you. They do not have to forgive you though it will be wonderful. Understand that the decision to forgive you is their choice. Your asking for forgiveness will release you. Their forgiving you will release them.

5.  Don’t allow the enemy to keep taunting you about your past. Let him know about his past and future. He has no hope; you do.

6. Once you know that abuse is no longer a temptation for you do what you can to help those who want to be free from abuse or and those who have been abused. You know for yourself that those who abuse have been abused.

7.  Share with others how you had been abused and what the results were. People can relate to those they know have had the same experience as themselves.

Every type of abuse that you have or have not experienced is found in the definition of just those two words I provided below.

Scripture reference & definition:

Sexual abuse; Judges 19:25

Suicide; 1 Samuel 31:4; 1 Chronicles 10:4

Assault; Acts 14:5

Manipulation; 1 Corinthians 9:18

Abuse: To use wrongly or improperly; misuse one’s authority. To treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way. To speak insultingly, harshly, and unjustly to or about; revile; malign.

Manipulate: To manage or influence skillfully, especially in an unfair manner.

We live in an abusive world. We are consumed with abusive language; thoughts; sights; hearts and actions towards others. We are not going to escape abuse. However, there is a difference in which abuse we will be willing to accept.

When we are without GOD void of love; kindness and mercy the abuse we hurl towards each other and ourselves are evident.

Wrongly or improperly misuse of authority; treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way; speak insultingly, harshly, and unjustly to or about. To commit sexual assault on another or self *(self = masturbation); to deceive or mislead; harsh or coarse insulting language.

This is the action abuse that we walk away from once we come into the full knowledge of JESUS; yet we will become victims of abuse because of our love and stand for righteousness in and of JESUS.

Let’s view and think about a few scriptures; let’s see how we fit and what we will do to leave or accept abuse from now on. I will provide definitions to words because we miss the mark by not understanding vocabulary. I will keep it simple.

“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” Mark 3:28-29

Blaspheme = speak evil; to slander another person’s character.

We do this daily don’t we? We think that it’s some super duper bad thing that we try to stay away from when it comes to the Holy Ghost/Spirit. Though it is; how do you plan to stay away from doing this when it comes to the Holy Spirit when you can’t stop with people and yourself? The best thing to hope for is this; that you’ve never spoken about the Holy Spirit at all because this is such a serious crime. It’s so serious that most non-believers know enough in their hearts not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. The problem is they don’t know what blaspheme is. This is why the question is so important. Have I blasphemed the Holy Spirit? I say and I’m not GOD so don’t live by what I’m going to write but I hope that if anyone has done this terrible thing that we were so very ignorant that when we do come to GOD for forgiveness we will be forgiven just once. I want to believe that GOD will give those who are truly repentant of this sin a onetime only free pass.  Notice how clear this rule is; all sins will be forgiven even the blasphemies spoken.

However; anyone who speaks evil of or slanders the character of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven but condemned. This is harsh! So this is why I’m hoping even if I’m wrong that GOD will give us a onetime free pass when we are truly repentant if we have done this unforgivable crime. I would think that if HE really did not; if HE really could care less; if HE really has no love or mercy towards us that we might as well chuck it all and forget about ever getting into heaven and living a life on earth full of the promises HE has given us. Because we are on death row and the destination is hell.

Let’s take a look at what Saul/Paul did before he came into the knowledge of JESUS.

For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. Gal. 1:13

Saul was an abuser. He persecuted; CHRISTians so greatly that he tried to destroy the church that is truly within the heart of man. Saul tried to destroy the faith of man. Saul used every definition known to man to accomplish his goal.

Persecute = to pursue with harassing treatment; to annoy or trouble persistently.

Destroy = to reduce to useless fragments, form, or remains, as by rending, burning, or dissolving; injure beyond repair or renewal; demolish; ruin; annihilate. Extinguish; kill; render ineffective; nullify; invalidate or defeat.

Saul found out that he could not complete his abuse and he found himself being abused as Paul because he accepted JESUS.

Man is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, constant friction useless wrangling of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. 1 Tim. 6:4-5

Reviling = loud; noisy

Wrangling = argumentative

It amazes me when I’m out and about how the most ignorant [lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned. Lacking of knowledge; information of a particular subject or fact; uninformed; unaware.]

People have so much to say. They don’t know what they are talking about because most to all of the information that they are trying to convince another of is inaccurate. The less they know the louder they are. If you don’t agree with what is being said then an argument begins. This is abuse of the mind; no brain should be void of vital information; read. This is abuse to the ears; all this garbage is being placed in the hearing. This is abuse to the mouth; want to know who a person is; listen to a person speak.

Moses, a Hebrew born into slavery; hid from death by his parents; found by royalty; lived a royal life; well educated. Decided to walk away from the palace and put on slavery which brings abuse. He also accepted another abuse because of his faith in the true and living GOD.

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reviling because of reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. Heb.11:25-26

Would you be willing to do this? Are you willing to walk away from what you are experiencing in your life to suffer the abuse all true CHRISTians suffer?

Therefore let us go forth to HIM, outside the camp, bearing HIS reproach. Heb. 13:13

Reproach = find fault, to discredit; disapproval; disgrace.

Are you willing to go forward to JESUS knowing that in the sight of people you will be disgraced because of JESUS and your faith?

If you are insulted or reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part HE is blasphemed, but on your part HE is glorified. 1 Peter 4:14

I find this to be a comfort because I’m blessed due to JESUS being glorified because of my faith in HIM.

Hopefully the recognition of abuse of man towards self and others has been made clear; why it’s done and how it’s done. Now you know that abuse is not one dimensional; stop believing that abuse is only in the concept of child abuse or domestic abuse. Take notice of abuse from all around us and how you play apart.

Are you ready to accept the abuse CHRISTians endure for JESUS?

Abram aka Abraham

We all know the wonderful fact of Abraham. But do you know Abram?
In our pre-christian walk we think that we are not worthy to have GOD care about us. We have done too (tooo, toooo, tooooo) many things to be forgiven of, frankly we can’t bring ourselves to forgive ourselves. Well let me introduce you to a man that is found in the Hall of Faith, a Hero, the Father of Faith and the screw up that got it right.
Abram lived among his daddy’s [Terah is his name] home with all the other Terahetts, brothers, cousins, uncles, aunts, baker and the candle stick maker along with Sarai his wife.
After the death of Terah Abram heard the voice of GOD telling him to hit the road and to leave all of the relatives he knew, loved and argued with behind with the exception of his wife of course.
Now during this great move I would suppose Lot asked where in the world was Abram and Sarai going to? It’s for certain that Abram told Lot the truth “I don’t know” but you can’t go.
Lot true to form of his name which means [Pebble] he came along anyway. Who asked Lot to come along? We must be careful with pebbles; they can sometimes get into your shoe and cause you to limp. Pebbles can be used to gamble with as dice. Pebbles can also be used to throw and cause harm. Though we often times use pebbles as vase, pot or landscape decorations, with them is always a hint of danger.
Now Abram was a punk from the word go. He must have lived a sheltered life because when he got into another neighborhood [The hood] he hid behind his wife Sarai. Twice Abram lied to save his own skin before he came to the end of himself. Real men don’t hide behind their women, they protect them.
Abram finally got enough and GOD said now you’ll be known as Abraham. This man fought battles instead of running from them. He tithed. He had a wee bit more of himself left in him and fathered the nation of Ishmaelite’s the nation of flesh. Abraham and Sarah finally had their child of promise Isaac born 14 years after Ishmael.
More than likely there are some points that I did not mention, but I learned some years ago to always leave them wanting more. So go on over to the most famous book on the planet; open up Genesis chapter 11 and find out more. I promise you that you will see that being a screw up; is not the end of the world. If HE did it for Abram (exalted father) who later became Abraham (father of the faith and many nations) surely he will do it for you.

Contempt; despise; detest; disgust; hate; loathe; mean; vile; worthless.

These are just a few choice words that have the same meaning as abhor.

These are very strong words and they are very strong emotions to have against a person. Yet in the everyday hearing of a person’s vocabulary; these words are spoken often. They are as casual as hello. But do you know that when you speak these words you invoke a lifelong hurt within an individual that is really hard to shake off. Most of those words above you may not use but the most common words that are used in a daily vocabulary is hate; loathe; mean and worthless. I’ve heard kids tell their parents that they hate them; just because they were not allowed to do something that they wanted to do. This to me is very hurtful. I remember when I was a wee lass my mother told me that she hated me; it nearly destroyed me as a person. But it also taught me how to fight mentally. I was 41 when GOD delivered me from that pain, that’s a long time to hurt. Then I remember when my son was a young teen; maybe 13-15 when I read his diary and came across a page that read “I hate my mother”. I called my ex-husband crying uncontrollably to him about what our son wrote. He calmed me down but that thought to this day is still there though I no longer am a prisoner to the pain. I still sometime wonder what did I do to make him write that or does he still hate me. I spoke to my son a few years ago and let him know that when he was a kid I read that in his diary. He explained that he never has hated me and that is just something that kids say when their parents cause them to be angry. I tried to explain to him that words kill. It’s very hard; if ever for a person to survive words. Words destroy the psyche and the emotions. Think about the words that have been hurled towards you and how they have affected your life. So it is important that we must first come to JESUS. Renew the mind which will then clean the heart which will then change the vocabulary.

Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9

JESUS has been hated since it was publicized about HIS birth and believe it or not HE is still hated among those who don’t even believe in HIM. So I would like to know this; if you don’t believe in something or someone how is it possible to have contempt for HIM? I guess that means that you really do believe that JESUS is who HE is.

SON of Man that HE must suffer many things and be treated with contempt? Mark 9:12

Not only is this sad but it has a hint of humor. How would you like to be hated; treated unjustly yet given an extremely expensive gift and beautiful gift? A gift so awesome that people fight or gamble for it.

Then Herod, with his men of war, treated HIM with contempt and mocked HIM, arrayed HIM in a gorgeous robe, and sent HIM back to Pilate.

Luke 23:11

Here is a good lesson to learn; stop being so judgmental towards another.

Why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of CHRIST. Romans 14:10

Yuk mouth; profanity; speaking the opposite of what GOD has said about you, others and circumstances.

“His speech contemptible.” 2 Corinthians 10:10

ABANDON: to give up or discontinue any further interest in something because of discouragement, weariness, distaste, to finally and completely leave or forsake.

RENOUNCE: voluntary decision to give something or someone up.

Matthew 27:46

No person on earth from earliest man to the last man on earth like being abandon. It’s a hurt to the spirit and soul of man. It’s not easy to bounce back from abandonment. It causes trust issues between people. It’s a cause for depression which will lead to oppression.

I sat on a bus one day and listened to a homeless man on his way to a shelter. He had been standing at a bus stop where a young mother had her son in her arms. Both riders chose to sit in the front of the bus; neither knew each other. Then the young mother decided to relocate her seat to the rear of the bus. When the gentleman noticed that the young mother was no longer seated near him; he asked another rider who also was at the same bus stop; where had the mother and baby gone to. The other lady said that she moved to the rear of the bus. Then he began to speak about how he never knew his father and his mother left him when he was a little boy. He spoke about how when he was growing up he often wondered if a stranger that he sized up to possible be his dad; was his dad. No one ever gave him a clue as to who his father was. I heard him say; my father must have really been a bad man; no one even dared discuss him. Then he said that the woman he knew to be his mother; one day just up and left. He added it creates such loneliness when you have been left alone without anyone to care for you. He also said I wonder if anyone really understands the importance of having a mother and father; it leaves you empty and you grow jealous of those who have parents. I watched the woman’s face as she listened to what the man told her. I could see the hurt in her eyes. I don’t know what her story was, but I wondered for a moment if she thought about her having parents?

In the above scripture, I believe that JESUS was able to withstand all that HE had to go through. But HE could not handle HIS FATHER turning away from HIM. The story of his brutal beatings and the injustice that HE had to go through brought about fatigue, hunger and thirst; pain from the torture. But have you ever noticed that JESUS never cried out until HE realized that for the very first time in HIS earthly life HE was all alone. HIS loving mother was near and watching in agony what was being done to her baby; but it was not her HE cried out for. JESUS lost HIS very life force when The FATHER had to turn away because HIS SON now had the sins of the world upon HIM and GOD cannot look on sin.

JESUS has been where you are if you are suffering from abandonment and the repercussions of this destructive emotion. Come to JESUS; let HIM know that you no longer want to experience the pain of being abandoned. Open up the door of your heart and let HIM come in to live. Allow HIM to clean all the loneliness away; to turn on the lights and to furnish your heart with all HIS wonderment.

Whoever confesses that JESUS is the SON of GOD, GOD lives in HIM, and HE in GOD.  1John 4:15

That CHRIST may live in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:17

A Time For Everything (Eccl. 3:1-8)

Because GOD has declared that there is a time for everything; why is it necessary for us to stress about time? There is no reason under the heavens why we should stress about meeting deadlines; getting from one place to another; meeting our goals and so on.

The first thing we need to know and understand; is that GOD alone is in control of time; everyone has the same 24 hours within a complete day and there are 365 days in a year with the exception of leap year which adds 1 day to the calendar.

When you go to the FATHER at the beginning of your day worshiping HIM; thanking HIM and asking HIM for HIS guidance to fulfill the task of the day; you will begin to notice how your day aligns. When you ask for GOD’s wisdom and understanding of how to accomplish your goals for the day; you will begin to notice how your day aligns. When you make the proper preparations and execute your task instead of waiting until the last minute; you will begin to notice how your day aligns.

There is nothing we can accomplish under our own power except get stressed out. From getting stressed out; we become sick in our body an ache here a pain there. Do you know that even depression can come from stress? We are GOD’s creation not your father and mother. Most people have cars; when something goes wrong with the car they take it to a reputable mechanic or dealer. Why? Because they have gotten the training required from the manufacture to repair what has gone wrong with the car. Same thing with GOD; GOD is the manufacture so we must go back to GOD so that HE can repair what has gone wrong with us.

In Italy and Mexico it is mandatory that at certain times of the day; everything must shut down for siesta (a break). After siesta where work and the tasks of the day are not spoken of but they rest or commune with laughter or so on they come back refreshed. These two countries do not have the same stress problems as we do in America. Maybe we can learn from them. If every born-again CHRISTian would use their 15 minute breaks and lunch break to refresh themselves in the Word of GOD or worship and thank GOD. I guarantee that you will come to notice how the concerns of this world will no longer get next to you. Non-believers will take notice and you will be able to share the Peace of GOD that passes all understanding. Philippians 4:7

A Living Sacrifice

As I studied Romans 12:1-3 it occurred to me that many Christians may want to be a living sacrifice but fall short just because of their own perception or what they are taught.

I want to dissect these verses and hopefully with a renewed sense of awareness we can all grow in the unity of the faith.

We all have to be decisive; putting an end to controversy in our lives and our speech without hesitation commanding our flesh and minds to do the will of GOD. In this we prove to ourselves GOD’s grace and mercy in and on our lives.

We all know how to dedicate ourselves to someone or something, we do it daily, never giving it much thought.

It’s no different to dedicate ourselves to GOD who has been very merciful towards us. After we were born-again GOD HIMSELF consecrated us to HIMSELF. HE set us apart from those who do not believe on HIS SON, JESUS the CHRIST. We are asked to become living sacrifices to GOD. JESUS is our living sacrifice prior to HIS crucifixion. JESUS also was our sacrifice on the cross. How many of us would be willing to be sentenced to death for a crime that we did not commit. Today those who are found guilty and sentenced to death fight to the end on appeals, but not JESUS.

We must dedicate our thoughts (mind); our eyes; our ears; our mouth; our limbs and the core of our body to GOD. It’s not some parts that will go to heaven or hell but the entire being. It’s not enough to get our bodies in line with the Word of GOD and not our thoughts. After all it’s the mind that is the playground for the enemy.

Is there any reason why we should not offer our bodies as living sacrifices? Doesn’t it make sense to do this act of love once we believe and realize that this is a small thing to do for all that JESUS has done for us. The more that we sacrifice our bodies to GOD, the more recognizable HIS mercy toward us is. We will obtain and see the goodness that HE will lavish upon us. This act shows that we have good understanding; the ability to comprehend and good judgment. In other word we are intelligent.

We have become closely akin to GOD’s will; purpose and outlook. Because we are abiding in HIM. We have a reverent honor and homage that is to be given to GOD that will come from our living sacrifice.

Now because of this we are not to become high browed and think that we have arrived because we have not. We are still human with a propensity to fall. It’s just that in our falling and without shame we are quicker to get up and dust ourselves off asking GOD to forgive us. Know your abilities don’t speak or do more than you are equipped to do. We are all in the body of CHRIST with gifts to help build the kingdom. One person will not get it done. Pay it forward help our less mature brothers and sisters in CHRIST to grow and speak as well as show the lost that we are different. We want those that are lost to come and ask “Why are we the way we are?” and it be in a good way.
