Be Encouraged By GOD
Colossians 2:2-3
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of GOD, both of the FATHER and of CHRIST, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Have you ever given any thought to the many CHRISTian siblings that we have in this entire world? Most likely not. This is not okay, we must pray for all of our CHRISTian siblings be they known to us or not. You may be wondering how does one pray for a person that is not known to them? The answer is simple, FATHER, I pray for our brothers and sisters in CHRIST JESUS all over this planet, help them where they need help, heal them where they need to be healed but better yet, cause them to become whole in YOU through JESUS. Give to them the desires of their hearts that will further the Kingdom of Glory for YOU through JESUS, baptize anyone of my siblings in YOUR precious Holy Spirit so that they may obtain YOUR knowledge, patience, power, strength, wisdom, understanding, and more through JESUS. And you may add to that.
Our text of scripture proved that Paul was in agony/conflict over the believers in JESUS in the church of Laodicea of Colos. Many had never had the opportunity to meet Paul face to face as the others. Paul either knew in his spirit or had heard from others that some people will believe if they could only have the opportunity to hear and see Paul for themselves. And much has not changed today. Some people have witnessed the change within many of us but are not yet convinced that this change is authentic. They want more proof and may want to see the same individual that convinced us to activate our faith in JESUS. For some, this will be impossible because some of us were witnessed too by strangers, so the chance of seeing that person again is likely to be nill.
However, I like how Paul wrote to the believers in Laodicea of Colos explaining to them to be encouraged.
- Be encouraged
- Be knitted together by the strong ties of love.
- Attain to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of GOD.
- Be completely confident to learn and trust in GOD’s mysterious plan.
Because HIS plan is CHRIST JESUS HIMself. You see everything hinges on JESUS because HE Is The Way, HE Is The Truth, and HE Is The Life and no one will ever see the FATHER except through JESUS. Within JESUS are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge. All we need to do is dig for them. Yes, I wrote dig because anytime we are looking for treasures what is it that we must do? Dig, exactly.
Our message given to us by JESUS should never change because it has been given to us all to share with each Jewish and Gentile person Holy Spirit leads us to or when we are asked a scriptural question or as to why we are the way we are. Also, our message is to be a part of a conversation most often started by non-believers about GOD’s Word. When we speak GOD’s message what we say will be infused with power from Holy Spirit because GOD’s message is power and wisdom for the Jew and the Gentile of whom HE has chosen. When we speak and that person listens, that is the person whom GOD has chosen to be an heir.
As believers in JESUS, we are The FATHER’s children. Our FATHER sent HIS only begotten SON JESUS to us all to save us from sin, to make us wise in HIM, and to become acceptable and holy through JESUS.
