Lack; falling short; to break; bend; crushed or made useless due to being destroyed or overloaded.
I chose those particular definitions because I did not want us to focus on the only definition that we normally use for the word failure. As well; I wanted to keep this biblical and relatable.
There is a scripture that I suggest is read that will show you your growth in the Word of GOD when it comes to being hurt emotionally or physically by someone that we have entered into a legal binding contract in writing. The law will also adhere to an oral contract; however, you must be able to show sufficient proof that you have been wronged. This is completely acceptable for us folks (CHRISTians) to adhere to when we are going before the legal system with non-believers. We are to never; ever go before the legal system when we disagree with our brother/sister in CHRIST.
I’m not certain about other nationalities; however I know for certain that Hasidic Jews and Native Americans solve all their legal problems among themselves. They do not adhere to the legal system that we do. Don’t get me wrong they follow all the rules and laws set forth in the governmental system. However, when Jewish people have a matter that must be judged they stay within their own. It’s the same for the Native American. So why is it that the church does not follow that advice that is actually found in GOD’s Word? 1 Corinthians 6:1-8
When we purposefully go against GOD we are failures; not in the normal context however. We lack the integrity and knowledge of what the repercussions are when we allow non-believers to enter in and try to resolve issues among CHRISTians. We fall short of GOD’s best for us. A non-believer does not adhere to the Word of GOD for answers. So matters are settled with an overload of manipulation; lies; deceit all and more that are cleverly disguised and covered with smooth silky verbal control of the vocabulary. We make GOD useless on our behalf because we do not trust or rely on HIM.
Okay so that was the general picture now let’s look at the personal aspect. There are times when we have messed up or think that we have. Don’t be so hard on yourself and don’t allow anyone to belittle you because you made an error.
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. HE delights in every detail of our lives. Though we stumble we will never fall. The LORD holds us by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24
STOP telling yourself that you are a failure; that you are not smart; that you can’t do something. The only thing that you can’t do because you are allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you in your day to day walk is to sin just because.
GOD knows that you are precious and HE is always thinking about you. Psalm 139:17
GOD has not and does not give you a spirit of fear. GOD gives you a spirit of power; love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7
Look we all mess up; big deal. Don’t dwell on your mistakes get yourself back up and try again.
Forget the past; look forward to what lies ahead; press on. JESUS is calling you. Philippians 3:13-14
