True humility is not something that you have to point out that you have.
True humility is something that is recognized by another.
True humility causes us to be patient under trials.
A person with true humility does not have to become argumentative or to try and convince anyone of anything. A person with true humility does not have to prove themselves at all. There is an old deodorant commercial that used to say “Never let them see you sweat”. It does not mean that we are not bothered by injustice when we become the target and it does not mean that we are weak. On the contrary humility shows that wisdom is in action. Besides when we take our cares to GOD eventually we will see the reward of the wicked be them saint or sinner. We have no need to fight our battles; GOD is a righteous judge and it will be HIM that will execute a justifiable punishment. As HE is working on you HE will also be working on the one who has harmed you. In most cases it’s not easy being humble. Your first instinct is to defend yourself; before you act, think and ask yourself the question; is it really worth it? No will be the answer that will prevail at all times. When the pressure get too much go to someone who will be and can be impartial; speak about it and get godly counsel; keep your emotions out of it. As for me personally I don’t like injustice when it’s placed on me; however, what I will notice is that when the accuser speaks it’s a reflection of pride; ignorance and lack of wisdom. So I get to laugh. This throws the enemy off guard.
If and when you think that it is necessary for you to be seen and heard; that the spot light must be pointed on you; after all your deserve the credit; know this. HE leads the humble in doing right, teaching them HIS way. Psalm 25:9
The LORD is Great, HE cares for the humble. Psalm 138.6
I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. Isaiah 57:15
Humility will get those who truly have it everywhere in this life. True humility and fear of the LORD lead to riches, honor and long life. Proverbs 22:4
Good Word, Thank you for the encouragement this morning. RW
