I thought it best that I look up the word pride in the hopes that its definition alone would cause some readers to take a deep look or at the very least ask someone whom they confide in that is a true friend whether or not this is a character trait that they have.
Pride: a high or inordinate opinion of one’s own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, pleasure or satisfaction taken in something done by or belonging to oneself or believed to reflect credit upon oneself.
Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to put this. I really have nothing else I can add, with the exception of two scriptures that I hope will be a help when you believe that your way is the better way and that there is no room for another person’s idea.

Humble yourselves under the mighty power of GOD, and at the right time HE will lift you up in honor. I Peter 5:6
