John 16:7-8 & 13-15

Some may want to think that JESUS was just a good Prophet; well HE was and HE is; I’ve been profiting from JESUS ever since I said yes to HIM.
If you are a believer in JESUS and HE abides in you and you abide in HIM you should have HIS anointing which is The Holy Ghost that leads us into all truth.
CHRIST actually means Anointed.
Anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered “MESSIAH” the official title of our LORD, occurring five hundred and fourteen times in the New Testament. It denotes that HE was anointed or consecrated to HIS great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of HIS people.
HE is JESUS, The CHRIST and The ANOINTED ONE (Is. 61:1; Mark 1:16-17; John 1:41; Acts 17:3; 18:5). (Alighting: to come down & settle after flight)
MESSIAH The PRINCE (Dan.9:25).
The MESSIAH is “The SEED Of the woman” (Gen. 3:15), (women don’t have seeds, men do this is why JESUS does not have a human man as a father) come on people; that was a miracle! Read the genealogy of JESUS and the story of Mary.
“The Seed of Abraham” (Gen. 22:18).
The “PROPHET like Moses” (Deut. 18:15)
“The PRIEST according to the order of Melchizedek” (Ps. 110:4)
“The ROD out of the stem of Jesse” (Isa. 11:1, 10)
“IMMANUEL,” the virgin’s son (Isa. 7:14)
“The Branch of JEHOVAH” (Isa. 4:2)
“The MESSENGER of The Covenant” (Mal. 3:1).
This is HE “of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write.” The Old Testament Scripture is full of prophetic declarations regarding the GREAT DELIVERER and the work HE was to accomplish.
JESUS The CHRIST is JESUS The GREAT DELIVERER, The ANOINTED ONE and The SAVIOR of men.
This name denotes that JESUS Is divinely Appointed, Commissioned, and Accredited as The SAVIOR of men (Isa. 11:2-4; 49:6; John 5:37; Acts 2:22).
To believe that “JESUS is The CHRIST” is to believe that HE Is The ANOINTED.
The MESSIAH of the prophets, The SAVIOR sent of GOD, that HE IS, in a word, what HE claimed to be.
This is to believe the gospel, by the faith of which alone men can be brought to GOD. JESUS Is The CHRIST; Is The Testimony Of GOD and the faith of this constitute a Christian (1 Cor.12:3; 1 John 5:1).
- § HIS birth (Matt. 1:18; 20-21; 23 & 25; Luke 2:7&11; Gal.4:4)
- § HIS circumstances (Phil.2:8)
- § HIS reputation (Ps. 22:1; 7-8; 16-18; Isa. 53; Matt. 27:35; 43 & 46; also read the remaining 3 gospels)
- § HIS soul (Ps. 22; Luke 22:44; Heb. 2:18; 4:15) the soul is our mind; our will and our emotions. (If you have questions write me; we are spirit beings; we live in a house called flesh and we have a soul.)
- § HIS death (Matt. 27:51-54; Luke 23:46; John 19:30)
- § HIS burial (Matt.27:59-61; Mark 15:44-46; John 19:31-42).
His humiliation was necessary:
To execute the purpose of God (Acts 2:22-28; Ps. 40:8-10)
To full fill the Old Testament types and prophecies; to satisfy the law in the room of the guilty procured for them eternal redemption as well as to show us an example. ((Isa. 53; Heb. 9:12, 15, All the Gospels).
CHRIST’s Priestly office consists of these two parts:
1. The offering up of HIMSELF as a Sacrifice
2. Continual intercession for us
When on earth, HE made intercession for HIS people (Luke 23:34; John 17:1-26)
Now HE exercises this function of HIS PRIESTHOOD in heaven, where HE is said to appear in the presence of GOD for us and intercedes on our behalf (Heb. 9:12, 24; Romans 8:34).
HIS advocacy with The FATHER for HIS people rests on the basis of HIS own all-perfect sacrifice.
HE pleads for and obtains the fulfillment of all the promises of the everlasting covenant (John 17:24; Heb. 7:25; 1 John 2:1-2).
HE can be “touched with the feeling of our infirmities,” and is both a merciful and a faithful HIGH PRIEST (Heb. 2:17- 18; 4:15-16). This intercession is an essential part of HIS mediatorial work.
Through HIM we have “access” to The FATHER (John 14:6; Eph. 2:18; 3:12).
The communion of HIS people with The FATHER will ever be sustained through HIM as mediatorial Priest (Ps. 110:4; Rev. 7:17).
