The Importance of The LORD’s Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

Is still so very relevant today in this world system that we ought not to forget going back to the basics. I have found that when I can’t think of what to say, I go back to the basics. If I may, I would like to do a breakdown of the verses so that we can understand that this prayer is really all the verbiage that we need for the circumstances in life that we go through.

Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our FATHER, who is in heaven,
  Hallowed be YOUR name.

And because you are sons, GOD has sent forth the Spirit of HIS SON into your hearts, crying out, “ABBA, FATHER!” Gal. 4:6

That you may be sons of your FATHER in heaven; for HE makes HIS sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matt. 5:45

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, LORD GOD Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” Rev. 4:8

    ‘YOUR kingdom come
         YOUR will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this that the kingdom of GOD has come near you.’ Lk. 10:11

Again, a second time, HE went away and prayed, saying, “O MY FATHER, if this cup cannot pass away from ME unless I drink it, YOUR will be done.” Matt. 26:42

And as soon as we heard it, our hearts melted, and there was no courage left in any man, because of you; for the LORD your GOD is HE who is GOD in heaven above and on earthbeneath. Jos. 2:11

‘Give us this day our daily bread.

But JESUS answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of GOD.” Lk. 4:4

‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1Jhn. 1:9

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Jhn. 20:23

‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For YOUR’s is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

What is your temptation? What is the one thing that causes you weakness? You have tried for months and years to rid yourself of this thing and yet it’s still with you. Learn to HATE that sin not the sinner.

For the kingdom of GOD is not in word but in power. 1 Cor. 2:5

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the LORD our GOD! Rev. 19:1
