GOD is not angry. Not at humans, GOD is angry regarding sin. JESUS CHRIST experienced GOD’s anger when He was on the cross. GOD punished HIM for everyone else’s sin. JESUS did not deserve this punishment; we did. GOD hates the sin but GOD does not hate the sinner, those who do not believe in the finished works of HIS SON, CHRIST JESUS. GOD no longer release HIS anger as we have read in the Old Testament because of CHRIST JESUS, GOD now shows us HIS grace whether we deserve it or not. Below we will read, just how GOD is no longer angry with humankind.
Romans 5:8-9 JESUS CHRIST died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates GOD’s love for us. Since CHRIST’s blood has now given us GOD’s approval, we are even more certain that CHRIST will save us from GOD’s anger. [GWB]
John 3:16 For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only and unique SON, JESUS so that everyone who trusts in JESUS may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed. [CJB]
John 15:3 The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends. [CHRIST JESUS counted humans as HIS friend though we were not at all friendly towards HIM-*AMFBeM].
Romans 8:39 Nothing can or has the ability to separate those of us who firmly believe in CHRIST JESUS. Nothing is able to separate us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.
Ephesians 2:13 But now through CHRIST JESUS you, who were once far away, have been brought near by the blood of CHRIST. [We were far away because we were sinners-*AMFBeM]
1 John 1:7 The blood of JESUS CHRIST cleanses/removes all traces of sin and guilt of wrong-doing from us. HIS blood keeps us clean and purified.
Romans 1:18 GOD is angered when mankind dilutes the grace of HIS SON, CHRIST JESUS, yet, HE does not exercise the emotion of that anger because HE is aware that we do so in unbelief of HIS SON. A watered-down gospel is an inoperative gospel. Those of us who believe in the finished works of CHRIST JESUS should never hinder and repress what is true about salvation because we are concentrating on making others feel bad by presenting the law of Moses to them. Doing so is a clear demonstration that we do not comprehend the grace of our loving GOD who no longer lash out in anger.
