Will someone tell me; why is it so hard to live for GOD?
It would be better that those who profess JESUS to be their Savior answer that one for me. CHRISTians are to walk in the light those who do not or have not accepted JESUS walk in darkness.
The reason I’m asking this question; is because when we have reached a level of natural maturity; we slow down and then we want to or try to live for GOD. I think it’s because consciously or subconsciously the thought of our immortality is closer to thought. We are the creation of GOD; yet it does not mean that we belong to GOD. We return to GOD when we accept HIS only Begotten SON, JESUS. Until then we belong to satan. We live a life of perfect sin for him; we just don’t know it. We do his will without a thought. It’s easy to serve him; after all “in sin did my mother conceive me”. Psalm 51:5
This fault does not begin with us; it’s Adam’s fault. He should have at the very least stopped Eve from having a conversation with that old serpent. Adam did not walk in his authority while he was standing there witnessing the conversation between his wife Eve and the serpent. He chose not to stop the conversation by not correcting what he heard. The enemy twisted the Word of GOD to fit his purpose; Eve not being fully aware of what GOD actually told Adam and Adam not relaying to Eve what GOD actually said to him caused her not to catch the fly that landed in the ointment. Adam should have refused the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9 That’s right people it was a fruit of evil that Adam ate not an apple.
When we come to the knowledge of JESUS we must decide to live for HIM. We will stumble and fall along the way so don’t beat yourself up over it. “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word; he is a perfect person; able also to bridle/control the entire body”. James 3:2
However, when you stumble and fall don’t lay their; hurry to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep it moving. Confess your sin to GOD and ask GOD to forgive you in the name of JESUS. As you grow in the Word of GOD you will become to realize; what is a sin to GOD and what is not. When you adhere to the teachings of the Holy Spirit you begin to live for GOD.
Living for GOD brings pleasure and adds no sorrow. Living for GOD is not a burden. Living for GOD creates within us joy everlasting and a hope. Living for GOD compels us to do and say what must be done and said without judgment or criticism to help another.
Now is the time to live for GOD; “The LORD says, I will rescue those who love ME. I will protect those who trust in MY name…I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation”. Psalm 91:14-16
My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store MY commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Proverbs 3:1-2
Grow old in life and grow old in GOD; now I said grow old not grow dead. GOD, Let me proclaim YOUR power to this new generation, YOUR mighty miracles to all who come after me. Psalm 71:17-18
I will be your GOD throughout your lifetime-until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Isaiah 46:4
