What is an abomination?
Despised and repulsive acts performed; such as child sacrifices, idolatry, magic, sexual transgressions, spiritualism and witchcraft.
Each time we surrender our children or participate in evil and wicked traditions or customs we participate in the pleasures of the devil. Everyday there are those who cannot begin or get through their day until they have read their horoscope. The horoscope is a devise to inform people of their future based on the alignment of planets. People look to planets for the answers to their present or future when GOD has already provided the answers to your present and future. Let me see if I can make this very clear; you own a vehicle designed and manufactured by Rolls Royce (crème de la crème). You need to know how to properly operate your vehicle or when something goes wrong you need to take it to a reputable mechanic who specializes in Rolls Royce’s. You would never think of taking your Rolls Royce to Jiffy Lube to have mechanical work of any type done to it. You consider your Rolls Royce to be and it is a precious vehicle not to be tampered with by ordinary or counterfeit people who have the training to be a certified mechanic. Well we are more precious than a Rolls Royce, gems or any other type of great gain. Yet we turn to ordinary people counterfeit resolution to our daily existence. GOD is our creator and just like the Rolls Royce we are to return to our manufacturer to receive our daily inspection; tune up or resolution to our life. I’m a firm believer that in order for one to know what he/she is doing or saying it must be clear in our understanding what we participate in.
Sacrifice: The surrender of something you deem worthy but not more worthy than what you desire for its replacement.
Idolatry: Blind excessive adoration for a person, place or thing.
Magic: (Not the magic that is used for entertainment; such a sleight of hand.) Incantations or various other techniques that presumable assume human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of nature.
Transgression: Violation of a commandment or law.
Spiritualism: Belief or doctrine that spirits of the dead survive their mortal life. That they have the ability to communicate with the living; especially through another living person.
Witchcraft: Believing in the power to bring magical or preternatural power to bear or the act or practice to do so.
Soothsayer/Diviner: A person who pretends to foretell future events.
Omen: An occurrence or phenomenon believed to predict an event.
Sorcerer: A wizard; a person who profess to have power over evil spirits.
Conjure spells: To call on or command the devil or evil spirit for the use of power over someone or something.
Medium: A person who supposedly is used as the go between of the living and dead.
Spiritist: A person who believes that the spirit of the dead survives their mortal life and will communicate with the living; especially through a person who is susceptible to the influence of the devil.
As you can see we either participate or know members of our family and those we socialize with that are deep into the abominations that GOD has commanded that we stay away from. Customs and traditions in and of themselves are not bad; there are traditions and customs from GOD that we should adhere to.
