Sickness

I have a question that I must ask of all the readers; it’s a question that I have found myself often asking of myself.

  • Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
  • Are you sick or weak in your flesh and you’re wanting victory?

After all; the Word of GOD informs us that we are healed. So why are there so many of us (including me) struggling with colds, headaches; ulcers; stress and so on?

I want to wake tomorrow and never experience pain in my body again for the remainder of my life; which is another 70 years because I know that I will live until I’m 120. None of that dying at 70-75 for me; that’s much too young and I will not be nearly ready to stop working my ministry. I still have a lot of life to experience; so unless JESUS shows up before I’m 120, I’m here to stay for awhile longer.

There are so many scriptures in the Bible regarding healing as well as the cause for sickness in the body. I make a confession of them often. However, I am wise enough to know that because my flesh is falling apart; the real me; the spirit me is as young, vibrant and healthy as can be. But I want my flesh to experience the same energy and vitality as my spirit.

I don’t want my flesh to keep experiencing the reciprocation of sin. Neither should you.

“If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your GOD and do what is right in HIS sight, give ear to HIS commandments and keep all HIS statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I AM the LORD who heals you.” Exodus 15:26

Take a look at some keys here.

  • Diligently heed the voice of the LORD GOD

Every single waking moment of our lives we must take a conscience effort to adhere to the will of GOD. We know HIS will because we read HIS Word daily; we hear HIS voice speaking in our spirit.

  • Do what is right in HIS sight

We live to please GOD and when we please GOD we are pleased with HIS presence. GOD must live in us so we can live in HIM. We must be as JESUS stated; “JESUS and the FATHER are one”. Sickness can not dwell in our bodies when we are subjected to the full Word of GOD.

  • Give ear to HIS commandments

I think that if we would walk in love as GOD has commanded us to; we can fulfill all HIS commandments. Love provokes us to do what is right; think what is right and say what is right.

  • Keep all HIS statues

What this is conveying is that whatever rules GOD has provided for us to follow. We must follow them. For example: If the speed limit sign reads 25 then we must drive at 25 not 30-35. Humans require rules.

  • I AM The LORD who heals

We are all quick to say this but we don’t pay close attention to what we must do to obtain the healing. I’m not saying that GOD will not heal us because HE does. I’ve been delivered from blindness (complete); I’ve survived 4 strokes without outward details of scars. Yet I’m just as guilty of not adhering to what this scripture informs us to do as most of you are. There are some scriptures that are conditional which means that we must do something then GOD will do something. That’s where we get this from; we say if you do this for me, I’ll do that for you. That’s a condition.

GOD’s Word does not fail us, we fail GOD’s Word.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, for YOU are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14

But to you who fear MY name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in HIS wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. Malachi 4:2

When we accept JESUS as our Savior it is important also that our spirit is healthy.

But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 1Timothy 4:7-8

What is an old wives fable? Superstition, lies, gossip, talk built on unsupported facts.
