Fear

Fear is the total opposite of faith. Fear Is Not from GOD. We fear the unknown; that which we are not certain of. Yes there are uncertainties in life; however, GOD tells us that we are not to fear or worry. It amazes me how we all are so ready to believe whatever the enemy lays before us and not take GOD at HIS Word. It’s not our fault that we are the way we are; however, it’s not an excuse either. Fear became a part of us as the sin curse was applied to our lives through Adam’s disobedience. However those of us who has accepted JESUS and made HIM our SAVIOR and LORD are no longer under the curse. Fear must be destroyed from our lives and replaced with faith in all that GOD has given to us. For everything that we fear GOD has a Word for that topic. I hate fear because it drives people to depression and depression can drive a person to self murder (suicide).

Fear is evil and causes anxiety.

When we read our Bible we find the word fear as to how we are to be with GOD. This was poorly translated. Yes, I agree that we should fear GOD with an awesome reverential fear; however, GOD is not to be feared as in dread. GOD is a loving GOD; everything; HIS very essence is that of love. There is a scripture in the Bible that clearly puts fear towards GOD in great perspective. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear HIM who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Do you see that? You have the ability to kill another or yourself. People have the ability to kill you and others. However, it’s only you who has the choice as to where you spend your eternity. Choose JESUS and you shall live forever with HIM; not destroyed but in bliss.

Chose the enemy as your lord and you will be destroyed by GOD in hell along with your lord.

This psalm is a very sweet reminder of why we must get rid of fear from our life. It’s only in parts (suggest that you read in its entirety).

PSALM 27

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army may encamp about me, my heart will not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing that I desired of the LORD, that will I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to acquire in HIS temple. For in the time of trouble, HE will hide me in HIS pavilion; in the secret place of HIS tabernacle; HE will hide me; HE will set me high upon a rock. Now my head will be lifted up above all my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of Joy in HIS tabernacle; I will sing praises to the LORD. When YOU said “Seek MY face,” my heart said to YOU, “YOUR face, LORD, will I seek”. Do not hide YOUR face from me; do not turn away YOUR servant in anger; YOU have been my help; YOU are the GOD of my salvation. When my father and mother turn their backs on me; it is YOU, LORD who will take care of me. Teach me YOUR way, LORD; lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. I would have lost heart; unless I have believed that I would see the goodness of YOU, LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage; and HE will strengthen your heart.

How encouraging are those words. Shifting gears a wee bit here. I know and understand that there are dangers all about us; so what. GODs Word dwells within us; if not read HIS Word daily. I don’t remember scripture by book, chapter and verse. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing; however, I do know what thus say the LORD. I don’t know what time or day I was taught right from wrong from my family either. I do know that because of my teaching it’s evident in my life and I don’t go against my upbringing. When we face unforeseen dangers remember that GOD is the light of your salvation; what, who or why are you in fear? When you feel alone and you are vulnerable; don’t be afraid, GOD is with you; don’t be discouraged if GOD is your GOD. GOD will strengthen you and help you. GOD will hold you up with HIS victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Be convinced that nothing can separate you from GODs love. Life, death, angels or demons; fears about today or worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from the love of GOD. Romans 8:38

Confront what you fear; replace that fear with faith. GOD came in the flesh as JESUS to save us. We are to trust in HIM and not be afraid. The LORD, GOD is our strength, HE has given us victory. Isaiah 12:2
