Oh how we plan with anticipation about our future. We plan for tomorrow; the years to come and so on. There really is nothing wrong with planning for our future. Yet we spend so much time looking ahead that we don’t concentrate on the now; the today. We can’t live in the past; that’s history. We can’t live in the future; because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, (James 4:14).
Our future is in GOD; our presence is in GOD. If anything we need to look forward to what GOD has in store for us day to day. When we do make plans for our earthly future; make the plans knowing in full that you may not see tomorrow on earth. Realize that the future is in GOD’s hands and nowhere else and in nothing else. Acknowledge that our future is according to the will of GOD and not ours. (James 4:15)
Our future is not in horoscopes because there is a horror at the end of that scope. Our future is not in tarot cards or palm reading. Our future is not in psychics. We must remember what happened to people who indulged in such behaviors. 1 Samuel 28:3; and why do you think that Saul had done such a thing? Acts 16:16 uses the word [divination]. The word divination means to practice telling of future events or to discover hidden knowledge by occult means. Acts 16:18 is a clear picture that if telling the future was such a great thing or from GOD Paul would have never done what he had done. So when you begin to worry about what your future holds; remember this. I (GOD) know the plans HE has for you. They are plans for good and not for evil to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Don’t worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34
And when you plan for your future remember this. The LORD SAY, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you”. Psalm 32:8
YOU [GOD] guide me with YOUR counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Psalm 73:24
