INTEGRITY SERIES PART 12

1 Corinthians 3:11-13; 15:33-34

A foundation is that in which something stands and is supported. The bases of ground work in which something is added to or applied to.

Nothing can or will stand for long if it is not applied to a strong foundation. Let’s use buildings as an example. Depending on the location due to weather and or the ground in which a foundation is built, a building may or may not stand for years or century. If you build on sand there is a great chance that the building will have a short life span versus a building that is located on level ground and is deep within the ground with support that can’t be compromised.

The foundation that is used on people is JESUS, HE is level we are placed deep within HIM and we can face tumultuous weather; we can face trials in our personal lives and not crumble and fall. This is because our foundation is strong and sturdy.

Once we allow JESUS to lay a foundation on our lives, nothing or no one else can penetrate HIS foundation. However, what we can do is build on HIS foundation. The work that we apply to our lives will be plain and open for all to see. JESUS will declare the work in our lives because we will be tested by the fire. That fire will test and prove our integrity with critical appraise to show us our worth. To show us were we need help and were we are rooted and grafted in JESUS.

The fire that is used is called the Refiners fire. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined and will test them as gold is tested. They will call on MY name, and I will hear and answer them. I will say, it is MY people; and they will say; The LORD is my GOD. Zechariah 13:9

But who can endure the day of HIS coming? And who can stand when HE appears? For HE is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. Malachi 3:2

What does a Refiners Fire do? It brings into purity those who are coarse and vulgar. We become elegant and cultured in JESUS.

What does Fullers soap do? It cleans us from sin and from self. Sometimes we come through a character change feeling as though we have been beaten. Sometimes this cleansing can leave us tired; however only if you continue to resist a change that JESUS is taking you through will cause this fatigue. When we openly accept this cleansing it will be a refreshing to us.

Always be aware; do not become pressured by those you call your friends; do not become pressured as to what is in today and out tomorrow. To the world JESUS is not hip/fashionable; to the body of CHRIST we know better. Do not allow any person or anything or the flows of this world corrupt your morals and degrade your manners. Have respect for yourself and others. Build on your integrity and keep it based on the character and integrity which is in JESUS. Have a clear head always; do not walk around in half consciousness; in a daze; groggy. If you pollute your mind with alcohol and or drugs, how do you expect JESUS to use you for HIS purpose? When you are in a stupor from alcohol and or drugs you have opened a door for the devil and or his demons to wreck havoc in your life. Your integrity is compromised in some cases people have been known not to remember what took place in their lives due to mental black outs. I’m not saying that you cannot have a drink once in awhile; for example, you may drink a glass of wine once a month or only on special celebrations. However, if you know that you have a problem with drinking than you need to never have an alcoholic beverage in your hand or mouth. It’s not the alcoholic beverage that is the sin, it’s the over indulgence of it that causes sin. We already are aware that alcoholic beverages do cause an alteration of the mind; however, there is greater chance of you being more in control from one sip or one small drink than you have multiple consumptions that will continually alter your state of thought and mind.
