OPPORTUNITIES

We are all presented with opportunities day by day. After all; an opportunity is an appropriate or favorable time or occasion. Do you recognize your opportunities? I think that an opportunity arises when we have a desire to achieve a goal. What is your desire? What is the cause of your desire? When we have an understanding of our cause our motive to see an opportunity will be clear to us. I’m an Evangelist by heart and my desire is to see the non-believer come to JESUS and to see the believer walk in full victory of the promises we have been given by GOD. My style of evangelism which is comfortable to me is like John the Apostle. I’m not turned on by door to door evangelism or just walking up to a stranger to share my faith with another. I tell you the truth; in the sixteen years that I have been in ministry. I have been anointed twice to just walk up to a stranger; witness to that person and JESUS was accepted into their hearts. On the other hand when I spend time with people; the outcome of those who will accept JESUS is far greater. I want the person to get to know me well enough to feel comfortable enough to share their story. Why is it that with all the CHRISTian programming and churches on every corner in America there are so many who are still non-believers? Why is it that believers have the Word of GOD and yet they are still suicidal; a woman is still vulnerable to the snake oil charm that a man can bring to her? Why is it that a man of GOD can still be violent towards his wife? So many questions and yet it’s not being addressed in the church. We have too many CHRISTians who walk in with their sun shining faces and they are falling apart inwardly. We have non-believers who want to come to JESUS but can’t understand what the preacher is talking about because he/she is too deep. Are we looking for our opportunity? I do, everywhere I go. I listen to what people are talking about, there are times when GOD will set the stage and a non-believer will just have diarrhea of the mouth and begin to talk; chit-chat about nothing really. The set up is for something far greater. That person is looking for your response from the ordinary without being too deep. I don’t ever advertise that I’m a minister of the gospel yet I’m always asked at the end of the conversation. Then you have people who are speaking among themselves who are all knowing of GODs Word and don’t know bricks from mortar. Sometimes for me I pretend like I don’t know the answer to a thing and say, “you know I read or I heard it this way” before you know it they begin to ask me questions. Don’t believe that all my encounters are successful because they are not; I get rejected but that does not stop my cause for why I am the way I am. I’m compelled to touch the lives of people. I’m always looking for an opportunity. Face book is a great opportunity for me; it’s my desire to never leave America to teach/preach. Face book provides the opportunity for me to touch the lives of people in other countries; places I have no desire to go. I love those who have joined me on face book from other countries and when the opportunity arises we get to chat one on one when my schedule allows. I could not do that if I was to visit another country. We here in America are doing just as bad as many are in their countries; I bless GOD for equipping men and women of GOD who are from America and enter into those countries to bring the Good News. There are many from here that will go there; where ever there is. Just because I prefer to use technology does not make my opportunity to reach the masses any less than those who go physically. GOD said “Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature”. Mark 16:15

I’m doing just that without leaving my country. We must search for daily opportunities for who we are and not what someone thinks we are. Follow JESUS completely.

To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. Matt. 25:29

We all who are in CHRIST JESUS think to ourselves about witnessing to others.

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. Col. 4:5-6

Some people wait on opportunities I say look for opportunities.

GOD is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, HE will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 2 Cor. 9:10
